Mesoyios College Strengthens Research Ties with University of Western Macedonia Through Erasmus+ Partnership

Mesoyios College is pleased to announce a significant step in its international research collaboration following a recent Erasmus+ visit to the University of Western Macedonia (UoWM). The Head of the Mesoyios College Research Center Dr. Konstantinos A. Dimitriadis engaged in high-level academic exchanges and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance joint research initiatives.

During the visit, our representative held productive discussions with Associate Professor Lefteris Topaloglou, Director of the ENTRA Lab and expert in Energy Transition Policies at UoWM’s Department of Chemical Engineering. The dialogue focused on cross-disciplinary research methodologies, Tourism and Hospitality Sustainability, green energy transitions, carbon emission applications, and environmental innovation.

Key Outcomes of the Collaboration:

  • Formalized Partnership: Signing of an MoU to enable joint research projects and academic exchanges.

  • Knowledge Transfer: Exposure to cutting-edge laboratory practices and EU-funded project frameworks at UoWM.

  • Enhanced Competencies: Strengthened skills in international research collaboration, proposal development, and securing European funding.

  • Network Expansion: Building bridges between Cypriot and Greek academic communities in critical sustainability fields.

This Erasmus+ mobility underscores Mesoyios College’s commitment to advancing global research excellence and equipping our academic community with practical, future-focused expertise. The partnership paves the way for collaborative proposals under Horizon Europe and other international programs.
