Vasiliki Zinonos is a Language Tutor in English lessons at Mesoyios College. She has previously been a Language Tutor for English for Academic Purposes at the University of Sheffield, UK and an ESL Instructor for 11 years to students of other languages. She is a PhD holder in Curriculum and Instruction with specialization in ESL from Saint Louis University, USA, for which she received a partial-scholarship award. Her MA was in Public Administration with a focus on Educational Policies and Management at the University of Liverpool, for which she received a partial-scholarship award and her BA was in English Language and Literature at the University of Cyprus. She has offered pastoral support and informal supervision to BA and MA students on university projects and dissertations. She has been thoroughly trained in Research Ethics and Compliance courses, as well as in carrying out language assessments to students in schools and complying to IRB and ERB procedures and regulations. She is also working on publications of her research, as well as on DipTESOL certification. Her research interests revolve around ESL, Second Language Learning and Acquisition, Bilingualism and TESOL.
